KET/PET 短消息阅读题reading part 1真题讲解

1. 确定短消息的语言功能和场景 (例如：下面这两个都是某个店面的打折通知)

例一：KET真题

A The café is only open between 9 am and 10 am today.

B The menu has cheap meals before 12 o'clock.

C There is a time when you can get cheaper coffee.

 

例二：PET 真题

A Students must go to the college shop to buy certain items for their studies.

B Students can take advantage of special offers at the college shop at the moment.

C Students may visit the college shop at lunchtime every day except Monday.

 

2. 关注内容里面包含了几个信息点（了解语言功能和场景之后，信息点就很容易把握，例如：如果是店面的打折信息，那么要关注什么产品打折，多大的折扣，折扣的时间）

例一：

咖啡店有半价咖啡Half-price coffee

打折时间：是上午九点到十点 9am-10am &中午十二点到下午两点半 Lunch 12-2.30

 

例二：

大学商店打折（文具）pens and folders- prices reduced

打折时间：now; until Friday

开门时间：每天午休时间daily during lunch breaks

每天放学后30 分钟for 30 minutes after last class everyday

周一除外apart from Monday.

 

3. 在选项中关注原文信息点的同义转述（读句子时注意实义动词，逻辑词，否定词，形容词比较级最高级，时间地点的介词短语）

例一：

A The café is only open between 9 am and 10 am today. （没讲咖啡店开门的时间）

B The menu has cheap meals before 12 o'clock. （不是便宜的一餐）

C There is a time when you can get cheaper coffee. （有时间段，买到比平时便宜的咖啡P）

 

C选项中的a time，一个时间段，替换了短消息原文中的具体时间9am-10am & Lunch 12-2.30；cheaper coffee 替换的原文中的Half-price coffee。原文中还有个词special offer 特价优惠也可以等于C选项中的cheaper

 

例二：

A Students must go to the college shop to buy certain items for their studies.

(不是必须去买)

B Students can take advantage of special offers at the college shop at the moment.

(使用特价优惠，现在P)

C Students may visit the college shop at lunchtime every day except Monday.

（不是visit）

 

B选项中的take advantage of special offers 替换了原文的prices reduced；at the moment替换了now is the time

平时做ket和pet的短消息阅读时注重总结语言功能和文本场景，思考这是一则学校通知，还是待卖物品的广告；是一封感谢信，还是一则场馆规则告示；读信息时可以进行标号，标记出这则短消息想传达几个信息点；注意平时积累同义替换词，并整理在一个本子上，供复习使用。
